Many of us often skip our breakfast due to many different reasons. Breakfast is the first meal of the day and one should not avoid it because breakfast helps in breaking your overnight fast that you experience while sleeping. When one left home without having breakfast one may feel less active and less energetic and not able to perform his/her daily task properly.
For example as our car or any vehicles need fuel to run, our body also needs food to generate energy and get rid of lethargy. Having a healthy breakfast restores the glucose levels in the body and lowers stress levels. An ideally breakfast should be high in protein and fiber and low in fat and carbohydrates. Breakfast should be limited to 400-500 calories and should include egg, sprouts, fruits, whole wheat cereals or bread instead of sausages, refined bread, waffles, fries, junk food, and pancakes.
On the basis of many survey it states that skipping breakfast was significantly related to fatigue and poor attention during work time, skipping breakfast have a direct effect on memory power which causes short term memory, less concentration and many more. The one who have regular habit of having breakfast have positive influence on attention, concentration, memory and achievement in life.
Breakfast is very important for a good heart. The study shows that the men who regularly skipped breakfast had a 27% higher risk of heart attack or death from coronary heart disease than those who ate the morning meal. It also helps in healthy hair growth. Taking breakfast has many benefits and one should not skip breakfast in order to maintain a healthy life.
